Township Meeting Minutes – May 2023

ST. MATHIAS TOWNSHIP

REGULAR BOARD MEETING

ST. MATHIAS PARK AND RECREATION CENTER

May 1, 2023 7 p.m.

Board Members Present:Jim Guida, Mark Malinowski, Carrie Allord, Brion Fornshell, and Cassey Veith
Attendees:Dave Keehr, Tom Fleischhacker and Robert Morgan

The meeting was called to order by the chairman with the Pledge of Allegiance.

General minutes for April 2023 minutes were provided in google docs. Jim motioned to approve minutes, Carrie seconded. All were in favor, and the motion carried. 

Treasurer’s report as of April 30, 2023, there was $421,076.31  in the bank, including the CD’s. Claims were provided in google docs and copies to sign during the meeting. The claims received by the Supervisors as the following: Dave Keehr- road maintenance; CWC Land Services- property taxes; MN Township Association- spring courses; and PERA- retirement EFT. One added the claim for gophers to Tom Fleischhacker.  Jim motioned to approve the Treasurer report and claims and Mark seconded. All were in favor, and the motion carried. 

Road review was set for Sunday, May 2st at 9am and leaving from the St Mathias Park and Recreational.   

Clerk, Cassey, will respond to Crow wing county of no flooding damage within the township roads. 

Carrie and Mark may attend the Crow Wing County Land Services and Highway meeting. 

The Board of Appeals and Equalization minute was table for rewording. 

Supervisor Mark, cleaned up ditches of branches on Corner Trail. Supervisor Jim, noted there were chairs dropped off of 90th and weatherbee. Supervisor, Mark, will pick up.

Robert Morgan let the Board know a sign was down on Hay Creek and Lawson. Supervisors will review during the upcoming road review. 

Jim motioned to adjourn the meeting at 7:40 p.m, Carrie seconded. All were in favor, and the meeting was adjourned.
