Township Meeting Minutes – June 2018

REGULAR BOARD MEETING

  1. MATHIAS PARK AND RECREATION CENTER

June 4, 2018 7 p.m.

 

Board Members Present: Carrie Allord, Jim Guida, Brion Fornshell, and Cassey Veith
Attendees: Mary Sather, Carleen Koering, Dave Keehr, Jody Lodermeier, Judy Ebinger, Tom, Ebinger, and Robert Morgan.

The meeting was called to order by the chairman with the Pledge of Allegiance.

The May minutes were unanimously approved as received by the Supervisors via-email, Jim motioned and Carrie seconded. All were in favor, and motion carried.

Treasure’s report as of May 31, 2018, there was $176,136.16 in the bank, including the CD’s. Carrie motioned to pay bills, Jim seconded. All were in favor, and the motion carried. Orders issued numbering 5332 through 5339 were unanimously approved and paid.

2018 Resolution for Polling Place was motioned by Carrie and seconded by Jim. All were in favor, and motion carried.

It is an election year. Cassey will be contacting 2016 election judges to sign them up for this year’s training. Crow Wing County is highly encouraging on-line training for election judges.

Agreement was signed and sent to Anderson Brothers for cracksealing.

Old Business

Recap of the road review was given by Supervisors. Road Maintenance for Dave is to replace the culvert south of Leonard Koering on 65th and areas needing brushing have been marked.

Website host was moved and Brion is working on getting the new password set up.

New Business

Tom Ebinger brought concerns and inquiry about laying water down on 10th Street to decrease the dust. There has been heavy traffic from construction trucks recently. Supervisor, Jim, explain the last estimate was approx. $3000 a mile.  Other options is to split the cost between residents or talk with the construction company. Con for the spraying of dirt roads is the calcium is bad for vehicles.

Carrie motioned and Jim seconded to have Tim Koering install a new door and book shelving up $1500 for the book, puzzle, and game exchange at the Township Hall. Insurance agent recommended participate signing a form for liability coverage. Jim will get more information and Mary Sather will look into what other townships do.

Carrie motioned to adjourned and Jim Seconded. Meeting ended at 8:00p.m.
