Township Meeting Minutes – January 2019

ST. MATHIAS TOWNSHIP

REGULAR BOARD MEETING

ST. MATHIAS PARK AND RECREATION CENTER

January 7, 2019 7 p.m.

Board Members Present: Carrie Allord, Jim Guida, Brion Fornshell, Mark Malinowski, and Cassey Veith
Attendees: Robert Morgan and Annie Pierce

The meeting was called to order by the vice-chairman with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Re-organizing of supervisors is as follows, Jim as chairman and Carrie as vice-chairman.

The December minute were unanimously approved as received by the Supervisors via-email, Carrie motioned and Mark seconded. All were in favor, and motion carried.

Treasure’s report as of December 31, 2018, there was $220,466.27 in the bank, including the CD’s. One of the Election judge check was overpaid by .03 cents by their bank. We will write of the difference instead of contacting the Election Judge to be reimbursed the .03 cents.

Carrie motioned to pay bills, Mark seconded. All were in favor, and the motion carried. Orders issued numbering 5390 through 5394 were unanimously approved and paid.

Swearing in of new supervisor, Mark Malinowski. Becky Eckelman will be removed from the checking account and Mark will be added.

Carrie motioned to approve the 2019 polling place resolution, Jim seconded. All were in favor, and the motion carried.

Completed the 2018 Safety meeting and no accidents were noted.

Old Business:

Jim will talk with Dale about plowing 50th on a call by call bases when needed.

Jim will work with the County to get a recommend inventory of signs on hand and approved square tubing.

Brion will look at the cost of software through MATT, Cassey will get quote from Taxpond, and Mark will get a quote from Crust Accounting to take over the payroll and Pera Retirement duties.

Compliant on Corner Trail after last storm. The road was not plowed the next morning and only one pass was done Friday morning. Jim will contact Dave about the issue.

Carrie motioned to adjourn meeting ended at 7:45p.m, Mark seconded.
