Township Meeting Minutes – November

ST. MATHIAS TOWNSHIP

REGULAR BOARD MEETING

ST. MATHIAS PARK AND RECREATION CENTER

November 2, 2020 7 p.m.

Board Members Present: Carrie Allord, Jim Guida, Brion Fornshell, Mark Malinowski, and Cassey Veith
Attendees:Robert Morgan and Dave Keehr

The meeting was called to order by the chairman with the Pledge of Allegiance.

The September and October general meeting minutes were received by the Supervisors via-email. It was noted October had the wrong meeting date. Jim motioned to approve and Carrie seconded. All were in favor, and the motion carried.

Treasurer’s report as of October 31, 2020 there was $281,502.43 in the bank, including the CD’s. Carrie motioned to pay bills, Jim seconded. All were in favor, and the motion carried. The following claims listed on the agenda were unanimously approved and paid; Dave Keehr- Road Maintenance, MCR- fall road posting, and City of Brainerd reissued from last month due to adjustment to an unpaid 2019 invoice. Void check 5542 to City of Brainerd dated November 2, 2020. 

Jim motioned, Carrie seconded to approve the Township road mileage of 25.615. All were in favor, and meeting was adjourned. 

Jim let us know the St. Mathias Park, by motion and approval of their Directors, voted to cover all the costs of WiFi services on the park property. 

Board discussed brushing of Township ditches with Dave Keehr. He agreed the Board find another company to help with the ditch. A company who has the equipment and time to help. Supervisor Mark will reach out for bids. 

 Supervisors discussed reaching out to neighboring Townships for clarification of road maintenance we share. Supervisor, Jim, will reach out. 

The closing of Crow Wing Township recycling will be added to the annual meeting. 

Carrie motioned to adjourn the meeting at 8:10 p.m., Jim seconded. All were in favor, and meeting was adjourned.
