Township Meeting Minutes – July 2024

ST. MATHIAS TOWNSHIP

REGULAR BOARD MEETING

ST. MATHIAS PARK AND RECREATION CENTER

July 1, 2024 7 p.m.

Board Members Present:Carrie Allord, Brion Fornshell, Jim Guida, Mark Malinowski and Cassey Veith
Attendees:Dave Keehr and Robert Morgan

The meeting was called to order by the chairman with the Pledge of Allegiance..

General minutes for June minutes were provided in google docs. Mark motioned to approve minutes; Jim seconded. All were in favor, and the motion carried. 

Treasurer’s report as of June 30, 2024, there was $404,061.42 in the bank, including the CD’s. In Addition, renewed the American National CD.  Jim motioned to approve claims; Carrie seconded. All were in favor, and the motion carried. 

 The claims received by the Supervisors as the following: Dave Keehr- road maintenance; Mark Eckelman- cemetery mowing MATIT- insurance; Crow Wing County Landfill- dump; Carrie Allord- salary; Jim Guida- salary; Mark Malinowski- salary; Brion Fornshell- salary; Cassey Veith- salary and IRS- quarterly taxes. Carrie motioned to approve claims; Jim seconded. All were in favor, and the motion carried. 

Crow Wing County let the clerk know the street sign for 65th was hit by a vehicle and they will be replacing the sign. 

No storm damage was noted after the June 12th strom.

Carrie motioned to approve the Write in Count Resolution, Jim seconded, All were in favor, and the motion carried. 

Crow Wing Township Clerk, Sue  Kern, email Clerk, Cassey, about providing all past maintenance costs for 60th. Clerk, will reach out to Brad Arnold and Crow Wing Township Supervisor,  Doug Kern, and Clerk, Sue Kern. for clarification of gravel ordered, maintenance, and gravel placed on 60th. 

Jim motioned to approve Dave Keehr to order 3,000 yards of class 5, Mark seconded. All were in favor, and the motion carried.

Jim motioned to adjourn the meeting at 08:15 p.m, Mark seconded. All were in favor, and the meeting was adjourned.
