The meeting was called to order by the chairman with the Pledge of Allegiance..
General minutes for December were provided in google docs. Mark motioned to approve minutes with edits; Carrie seconded. All were in favor, and the motion carried.
Treasurer’s report as of December 31, 2024, there was $388,610.81 in the bank, including the CD’s and renewal of one CD. Mark motioned to approve the Treasurer’s report; Carrie seconded. All were in favor, and the motion carried.
The claims received by the Supervisors as the following via-google docs: Dave Keehr- road maintenance Carr’s- right away clean up; CWC Hwy- signs; MATIT- Premium; MN Association of Township- Dues; Brion Fornshell- payroll; Mark Malinowski- payroll; Carrie Allord- payroll; Cassey Veith- payroll; Jim Guida- payroll; IRS- quarterly taxes, including tabled Crow Wing County Highway invoice for sign replacement of Turn Back Trail. Carrie motioned to approve claims; Mark seconded. All were in favor, and the motion carried.
Board of Appeals and Equalization is scheduled for Wednesday, April 23 at 1pm at the St. Mathias Park and Rec. Clerk, Cassey, will reach out to Mary Taugtes to ensure no booking conflicts with the date.
A St Mathias Township map was edited to be used for quotes, minutes, and discussions during meetings. Clerk will print the map and be available at meetings.
Yearly reorganization of Supervisors, Jim to be Chairman and Mark to Vice Chair.
IRS mileage increased by 3 cents to 70 cents for 2025.
Supervisor, Carrie to attend the Local Legislator on January 8th in Little Falls.
Supervisor Jim to attend the Crow Wing County Hazard Mitigation plan meeting on January 22nd at Crow Wing County Sheriff office.
Open quotes for renting of Township land at the annual meeting and for maintenance of the Town Hall.
Supervisor Jim spoke to Rob Hall from Crow Wing County about the Turn Back Trail road. An ordance from the County states all signs that do not fall in the County right of way or state right of way are the responsibility of the township. A copy was provided to the board of supervisors. For missing signs the Township does the labor but if the Township has continuous issues, Crow Wing County would investigate. Carrie motioned to approve the invoice for Turn Back Trail sign and install; Mark seconded. All were in favor, and the motion carried.
Carrie motioned to adjourn the meeting at 7:56 p.m., Mark seconded. All were in favor, and the meeting was adjourned.
