Township Meeting Minutes – February 2025

ST. MATHIAS TOWNSHIP

REGULAR BOARD MEETING

ST. MATHIAS PARK AND RECREATION CENTER

February 3, 2025 7 p.m.

Board Members Present:Carrie Allord, Jim Guida, Mark Malinowski, Brion Fornshell and Cassey Veith

The meeting was called to order by the chairman with the Pledge of Allegiance. 

General minutes for January were provided in google docs. Changes and edits completed by Supervisors and January minutes were reprinted. Jim motioned to approve minutes with edits; Carrie seconded. All were in favor, and the motion carried. 

Treasurer’s report as of January 31, 2025, there was $386,557.03  in the bank, including the CD’s and renewal of one CD..

The claims received by the Supervisors as the following via-google docs: Dave Keehr- road maintenance; Minnesota Benefit Association- life insurance; Crow Wing County Associates- township dues. Carrie motioned to approve the Treasurer’s report and claims; Mark seconded. All were in favor, and the motion carried

Spring Short Course is on March 24th in Breezy Point or March 25th in St. Cloud. Start at 9am and we will be billed after for who attended. 

Review of the annual meeting agenda to include more detailed breakdown of the treasurer report, add brushing, add land renting quote. Township land is 8 acres. 

Carrie attended the local Minnesota House and Senate legislators meeting where they discussed internet and resources for township. 

 Crow wing county hazard meeting discussed environmental hazards such as train spills and fire mitigation, including preventable measures to take. 

Carrie motioned to adjourn the meeting at 7:48 p.m., Mark seconded. All were in favor, and the meeting was adjourned.
