  1. MATHIAS TOWNSHIP
  2. MATHIAS PARK AND RECREATION CENTER

August 1, 2016, 7 p.m.

The meeting was called to order by the Chairman with the Pledge of Allegiance.  All board members were present. Also attending were Robert Morgan, Dave Keehr, Jody Lodermeier, and Ronald Malinowski.

The minutes were approved as forwarded to the supervisors by e-mail.  Becky motioned, Carrie seconded, and it was unanimously approved.

The treasurer’s report was given.  There is a total of $360,941.34 in the bank, savings and certificates.  This is total of all the levied funds.  Becky motioned to approve the report and Carrie seconded.  It was unanimously approved.

Becky motioned to pay bills.  Carrie seconded.  Motion was unanimously approved.

There was discussion concerning 50th Avenue.  Supervisors met with three engineering firms and also the Crow Wing Township board of supervisors.  They also met with Anderson Brothers Construction.  There was no call back from Tri-City and Knife River wasn’t interested.

In discussion with the Crow Wing County Board, they said that they hired the road construction directly and did not use engineers.  They also said they were okay with our working on 50th Avenue and to let them know when the work would be happening

Anderson Brothers said they would put specs together and help with the posting of the bid.  The board will wait for information from Anderson Brothers and then work on putting out the bid.  When the information comes, there may need to be a special meeting to approve the bid process so the board can move forward with work on 50th Avenue.

Carrie was not able to get a hold of Joan for work on website.  She will do so before the next meeting.

Carrie is also working at getting someone to fill the hole in the outhouse at the old town hall.

Century Link is installing pedestals for DSL on Hay Creek Road.

Ron requested some slow signs on the curve on Corner Trail.   Visibility is poor especially when ATV’s are on the road.  Jim will check on this to see what would be a good option.

The board agreed to do another road review in October.

Carrie motioned to adjourn.  Becky seconded.  Motion was unanimously approved.  Meeting adjourned at 7:35 p.m.
