REGULAR BOARD MEETING

The meeting was called to order by the chairman with the Pledge of Allegiance.
The June general meeting minutes were received by the Supervisors via-email. Carrie motioned to approved and Jim seconded. All were in favor, and the motion carried.
Treasurer’s report as of June 30, 2021, there was $320,396.26 in the bank, including the CD’s. Carrie motioned to approved and Mark seconded. All were in favor, and the motion carried.
The claims were received by the Supervisors via-email. Carrie motioned to pay bills; Mark seconded. All were in favor, and the motion carried. The following claims listed on the agenda were unanimously approved and paid; Dave Keehr- Road Maintenance; Mark Eckelman- Cemetery Mowing; IRS- Quarterly Taxes; ECM- Posting; Tom Mertens- Gophers; and Ed Richmond- Gophers.
Dave called Jim to let him know brushing was done on both side of 273rd. Also, cleaned up around culverts Crow Wing County informs us to clean up. Jim will contact Crow Wing County for asphalt pothole filling for road maintenance.
MAT Township said they did not have recommended verbiage for our cemetery signage. Jim will look around at other cemetery to see if any common verbiage is being used.
Tom Fleischhacker asked Supervisor, Mark, when the Township plans to brush Corner Trail to widen it. Robert Morgan mention to try and keep as much natural vegetation as we can.
Township hall has wood to be clean up and Mark will take over mowing starting July, including wood clean up.
Supervisor Carrie will do a draft of our next newsletter and use articles that did not make it in the first newsletter. Also, she will ask Mary for an article about the book exchange.
Jim motioned to adjourn the meeting at 7:33 p.m., Mark seconded. All were in favor, and meeting was adjourned.
