Township Meeting Minutes – August 2017

REGULAR BOARD MEETING

August 7, 2017 7 p.m.

 

Board Members Present: Becky Eckelman, Brion Fornshell,  Carrie Allard, Jim Guida, and Cassey Veith
Attendees: Robert Morgan, Dave Keehr, and Jody Lodermeir.

 

The meeting was called to order by the chairman with the Pledge of Allegiance.

The minutes were unanimously approved as received by the supervisors via e-mail, Carrie motioned and Becky seconded.

Treasurer gave the treasurer’s report as of July 31, 2017. There is $313,628.88 in the bank and it includes the CD’s. All were in favor, and the motion carried.

Email correspondence of old business road maintenance on 10th and Dosh was completed on July 22nd.

Carrie will be complete the Appeals and Equalization training by February 18, 2018 via-email.

District 8 meeting will be on August 16, 2017 and Carrie or Cassey will attend the meeting.

Old Business:

After Anderson Brothers inspection of Corner Trail Road determined dirt to be dumped to reduce the bump.

CenturyLink update given by Becky. Residents are not able to hook up and recommend calling to speak with a Manager at CenturyLink to receive more information of a time line.

Becky is going to talk with Daggett about the intersection for street light recommend about the county.

New Business:

Received a call about 10th and cars speeding. Speed limit sign should be posted stating the limit is 55mph

New owners on 90th and gravel will need to extend to them.

Robert brought up safety issues on Sleepy Hollow Road. He will bring a list of the safety concerns to the next general meeting for the Township Board to send info to the County.

Carrie motioned to pay bills, Becky seconded. All were in favor, and the motion carried. Orders issued numbering 5268 through 5273 were unanimously approved and paid. Tri City Paving invoice will be in tabled until the Clerk reviews the individual receipts sent by Tri-City. Jim brought a snow removal bill from the Park Board. The bill contains 2015 and 2016 due to the contractor being injured and wasn’t able to submit bills in a timely manner.

Becky motioned to adjourned and Carrie second, meeting adjourned at 7:55 pm.
