Township Meeting Minutes – January 2017

January 3, 2017 7p.m.

The meeting was called to order by the chairman with the Pledge of Allegiance. All members were present. Also attending were Robert Morgan, Charlie Schultz, and Mary Sather.

The minutes were unanimously approved as received by the supervisors by e-mail. Carrie motioned and Becky seconded. With the addition to reflect, of Carrie was referring to sanding on 65th, 55th, and County 2 as hazardous areas.

Treasurer gave the treasurer’s report. There is $343,071.05 in the bank and it includes the CD’s.

Carrie motioned to pay bills, Becky seconded. Becky reviewed the Tri city invoice of $94,093.44 to the bid received. Bills were tabled due to because they were not ready for review.

Reorganization of the board, Becky nominated Carrie to be Chairman. Jim seconded.

Completed the OSHA safety minutes. Document and signed, Jim was not aware of any accident. In addition, Jim was going to see if we needed to attend any other courses.

Discuss of the best alternative to dealing with calls of road issues. Conclusion was that a text would be sent to Jim and he would contact Dave.

Becky un-tabled the paying of bills, Carrie Second. Carrie motioned to pay bills, Becky seconded All were in favor, and the motion carried. Orders issued numbering 5223 through 5227 were unanimously approved and paid.

Morgan gave an update on the trail, monthly report is being provided to the St. Mathias Park & Rec board. Minor updates of signage and landscaping to be completed when weather improves. Morgan is going to Park board to request funds.

Town hall lawn mowing service have disbanded. Carrie will contact to see if they still planned on mowing the Town Hall. Re-address hiring a party to complete the task in the spring.

Old business. CentryLink update. A lot of the community will have access to the service. No date on the time frame of completion this summer. The funds are from a federal grant so no cost to the Township.

Old Business. Mark Malinowski applied for a deer permit and the county could not find his address of Corner Trail Road, however could find him under this previous address. It was noted residents on 121 have Corner Trail as their address in the new phone book. The dispatcher confirmed that 121 was listed for those residents and updated Corner Trail Road residents address in the system.

New Business. Clerk, Mary Sather Retirement and cake will be served at the annual meeting. Also appointing Mary as deputy clerk.

New Clerk, Cassey will attend new clerk training on January 18th at the MAT building.

St. Mathias Bar re-opened and their liquor license was approved and signed.

 

Becky Motioned to adjourn. Carrie seconded. Motion was unanimously approved.

Meeting adjourned at 8:30pm
